- Professional Development Program
Classrooms will demonstrate, through continual growth and the purposeful integration of technology, 21st Century skills including problem solving, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, adaptation, flexibility, awareness, and innovation.
Teachers will complete a rigorous program divided into three modules that address the above 21st Century teaching and learning skills. The modules were developed and are taught by specific teacher leaders in the district. The modules are titled and described below.
21st Century Skills Professional Development Program
3 Modules (16 Hours)
1) Awareness and Innovation (teachers become aware of the teaching standards related to integrating technology and how technology is used to create innovative learning opportunities)
2) Communication and Collaboration (teacher learn to use cloud-based software to communicate and collaborate and why it is essential for students to learn how to communicate and collaborate appropriately using technology)
3) Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking (develop lessons/assessments/projects that focus on developing student's problem-solving and critical thinking skills)
