1. Make sure you are constantly checking your Commom Application account to make sure that your counselor and teachers have submitted their letters of recommendation on your behalf. It is your responsibility to monitor this. You can also see when a college downloads your application which is good to monitor in case there are any issues.
2. Many colleges that utilize Common Application will request that you have a mid-year report sent in from the Guidance Office. Please make sure you are know which of your colleges require this information and then fill out a Blue College Application Drop Off Form in the Guidance Office so that we can submit your information.SUNY APPLICATION reminders: www.suny.edu
1. Monitor your SUNY account to make sure all of your information is sent on to each of your colleges. Many of the SUNY colleges require applicants to fill out a supplemental application specific to their school, the supplemental must be completed before an admissions decision can be made.
2. Some schools may request a Mid-year report to see how your senior year is going. Please notify your counselor if a SUNY school request a Mid-year report from you. You can do this by coming to the Guidance Office and filling out a Blue College Application Drop Off Form.
Please check out our Scholarship link that is updated monthly with available scholarships. It is very important to check out the deadline dates of each scholarship. Applications will not be accepted after the posted date.
Also, please note that scholarship applications should be filled out by the SENIOR not a parent. In the past, there have been applications that have been disqualified because it was not filled out by the applicant. Please don't fall victim to that. Scholarship committees are looking to invest money into a worthy college bound student. The least each applicant can do is invest the time in filling out the application.
