Apalachin Central School District released a Mobile App today, Tuesday, October
30, 2018. The OACSD APP is now available
for download on iOS™, Android™, and Windows™ devices. The App gives students, parents, staff and community members a streamlined option to stay connected and informed about what’s happening at Owego Apalachin Central School District. The OACSD can now easily promote unified messaging through cross-platform communications to the app, via push notifications and social media.
OACSD Superintendent, Corey Green stated, “We are always looking to improve our lines of communication with students, parents, staff and community. We provide many platforms to disseminate district information; our website, social media, automated phone calls, SMS text messaging, local media, and more. The App is the next step in making district information more readily accessible for our families. We are thrilled to be able to offer this platform to help keep our entire district informed.”
The OACSD App is free and works on any smart phone or mobile device with
WI-FI service. The App provides quick access to everything school-related,
including calendars, contact information, important documents, cafeteria menus,
and more. Users can customize which buildings
they would like to receive information from.
When users enable push notifications, the district will be able to send
alerts on district-wide events, individual building events and more importantly
any weather and emergency-related closings and delays.
