OACSD COMMUNICATION ALERT CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS
The Owego Apalachin Central School District offers a variety of ways for our school community to stay informed about district events, news and weather/emergency related closings or delays.  Please take a moment to update yourself on these communication platforms and also take the time to customize how you receive certain alerts.

Parents/Guardians and Faculty/Staff...
Can customize the alerts (phone calls, text messages, emails) that they receive from School Messenger.  After the recent school delays, we received a number of  questions on whether or not parents and staff have the ability to customize how they receive communication from our district - and we have an answer!  Users can create a free SchoolMessenger account, on either the SchoolMessenger app or desktop site, and parents and staff (with valid email addresses and/or phone numbers in our systems) can customize their communication settings. They can select what phone numbers (generated by what is in the system only) receive what types of communication, based on their preferences. 
 
This is also a great opportunity to double check the information that you have on file with the school district.  If you need to make changes or corrections, please contact the main office of the school your child attends.

Entire OA Community... 
Can customize the alert options that they receive from the District App.  Once you have downloaded the App to your mobile device, select the schools that you wish to follow.  In the My Alerts section of the App on each school, you can adjust what alerts will be pushed directly to your device.  The App has wonderful features for everyone involved in our school district.  Easy access to different schedules/calendars, district news, social media pages, "Backpack" feature for Elementary and Middle School buildings, that includes digital copies of fliers, and a lot more.
