APALACHIN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL - BATTLE OF THE BANDS 2022
Battle of the Bands involves every 5th grade student at AES. Each class forms their own band and plans a performance. The first decision the classes have to make is what to name their band, followed by creating a logo. Every student in the class chooses a 'job.' The jobs cover many aspects of being in a band, including merchandise, lights, sound, performing, and marketing/advertising. Each class works together to write the lyrics and melody for their song, as well as their own parts to perform. Their music teachers help guide them through this process. The Battle of the Bands culminates with a performance for the school that is completely student run.
