District Awards and Recognition

Akshar All-Star 2020 - Jenna McEvoy

Former Teacher, Mrs. Hallenbeck:  I had Jenna two years ago when she was a third grader. Jenna came to school with a smile on her face every single day! She was always ready to take on another day of learning! Jenna was a poster child for "growth mind set." She enjoyed learning and even when faced with a challenge, she would work extra hard to try to understand and learn. Jenna was always a good friend to others. She loved helping her friends in the classroom. She was a class leader. Her classmates looked up to her. Jenna is kind, caring and all-around a great kid! She's athletic and a team player outside of the classroom as well. Those are just a few of the reasons I chose Jenna for this award!

Art Teacher, Mrs. Holt:  Jenna is always willing to help anyone. She gives her all to every project presented to her with a cheerful attitude.

Current Teacher, Mrs. Dodge:  Jenna is hard-working! Almost anything that I teach readers or writers- she tries to apply to her own reading or writing! She completes her assignments and will often even challenge herself to do more, think outside of the box or make connections.

She is helpful and is friends with everyone in the room. Jenna is a leader and student that her peers look up to and try to model themselves after.

PE Teachers, Mr. Woolever & Mrs. Rocco:  Jenna is a great choice!

Jenna defines what a student-athlete is. She excels in Physical Education class as she listens intently, works extremely hard given any task, and pushes herself and others to succeed.  She is respected by her male and female peers and is not afraid to take on a leadership role. She leads by example and is never boastful of herself or critical of her classmates.

Band Teacher, Mr. Staples:  Jenna is a skilled saxophone player! She always practices hard and acts as a leader in her section during Band.

Akshar All-Star 2019 - Jewel Belokur
