AES Jump For Heart 2025

A Big Congratulations to Our 4th and 5th Grade Students and Families for Raising an Incredible $11,567 for the American Heart Association!

WOW! What an amazing display of generosity and community spirit! We are truly inspired by how so many people came together to support the health and well-being of others. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed, whether by donating, volunteering, or cheering on our students during this year’s Heart Challenge.

Throughout February, our students focused on learning about heart health, the importance of exercise and good nutrition, hands-only CPR, and the value of being responsible, caring citizens. The culmination of their efforts was the annual Heart Challenge event, organized by the American Heart Association. This tradition, which began at Apalachin Elementary School in 1992, continues to be a powerful way for our community to make a meaningful impact.

During the event, 4th and 5th grade students participated in a 90-minute jump rope challenge, working in teams of six. The students showed off their impressive jump rope skills and demonstrated heart-healthy exercise in action. Some even out-jumped AES adults during the “jump-off” competition! We couldn’t be prouder of the enthusiasm and commitment our students and their families displayed for this important cause.
