Dear OA Families,
The Owego Apalachin Central School District is once again excited to offer after school enrichment at our SOARing Hawks After School Program for students in Grades PreK–5. This program is designed to provide academic support and enrichment for students and to assist families who are unable to be home with their children after the regular school day.
Registration for the program will open on Monday, August 11, 2025 for two weeks until Monday August 25th. This allows for transportation to establish bus routes before school.
Once school starts, registration will open at different times throughout the year to allow for new registrations. These dates can be found on the registration page.
This will require your students ID # (This is their lunch Number) If you do not know this you can contact the bus garage or your child's school's main office.

The program will run every school day from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM at AES and OES. Students must attend the after school program at the elementary school they are enrolled in. Parents are encouraged to commit to a consistent schedule and limit daily changes unless there is an emergency.
An additional option is available through the Boys and Girls Club, open to students in Grades 3–8. This is a separate registration process.
Transportation home will be provided for students who request it. The bus will leave school at approximately 4:30 PM, and drop-off times will vary depending on the route and ridership. An adult must be present at the bus stop to receive the student.
During the enrichment program, students will be provided with a snack and have the opportunity to participate in additional academic support and enrichment classes. Parents may also pick up their child anytime from dismissal - 4:45 PM, but all students must be picked up by 4:45 PM. On the registration form, you will be asked to estimate your typical pick-up time — this is not a firm commitment, but it helps with planning.
We look forward to another great year of afterschool learning and enrichment!
Thank you,
Ryan Hallenbeck
