What's it like to be Principal for a Day? Well, Alana Shaw, excuse me, Miss Shaw, a 4th-grader in Mrs. McEvoy's class at OES, got the chance. Her 5-paragraph essay about the three changes she would make as Principal and the examples/evidence as to why her changes would be a good change was picked by Mr. Schofield. Alana was able to enact her changes for her classmates on her big day as Principal today. Miss Shaw's changes included ice cream for everyone because not everyone has money on their account, free time if we worked hard on our work, and movie time. The Owego Strawberry Festival is back and celebrating 40 years! Come out and have some fun at the Strawberry Jubilee. Check out OFA's MTB at the Courthouse stage and Mr. Cirbus with Next to Kin on the Front Street stage tonight. On Saturday, catch the parade with many students and groups walking and OFA's Marching Band leading the way! Later in the day, Mr. Staples with the Fall Creek Brass Band on the Front Street Stage.
