The Tioga Arts Council is hosting the "Tioga County High School Students Exhibition" for the month of May. This is an exclusive show for high school students. The show opens this Friday, May 6th from 5-8 pm and will run through May 27th. #OACommunity #OAPride #OATradition
Owego & Apalachin Elementary School students are invited to a 'Family Fun Night' hosted by the Owego Free Academy Key Club. This FREE event will run from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, May 17th, in the Collaboration Room on the 2nd floor at OFA. Contact melbyb@oacsd.org with questions.

OA Update: We’ve started to receive inquiries about our Summer Enrichment offerings. We are excited that our summer enrichment schedule provides more offerings than previous summers for OA students from Pre-K through 12th grade.
We are currently in the process of finalizing the schedule, but you can begin planning now. Look for registration to open the week of May 23rd. Our summer enrichment camps will include four and five-day options, beginning July 11th and ending August 19th.
The daily schedule will remain the same as in previous years (unless otherwise noted per camp):
Breakfast: 8:00-8:30
AM Session: 8:30-11:30
Lunch: 11:30-12:00
PM Session: 12:00-3:00
Breakfast and Lunch are FREE for ALL students attending a camp or not.
The district will provide transportation before Breakfast and again following the last program of the day (3:00). Mid-day pick-up/drop-off will be the responsibility of families.

OA Reminder: The district will host the first of 2 Public Hearings on the proposed 2022-2023 budget tomorrow, May 4, 2022, at 6:00 pm at Apalachin Elementary School.
Community members are invited to hear a proposed budget presentation and ask questions regarding anything on the ballot at the Public Hearing.

On Tuesday, May 17, 2022, Owego Apalachin residents will head to the polls to vote on the Proposed 2022-2023 School Budget, School Bus Purchasing, an upcoming Capital Project, and Board Member Election.

Also on the ballot is the proposed 2022-2024 Capital Project. The project focuses on updating our facilities, expanding student opportunities, and improving our buildings' overall efficiency, health, and safety. The $12.9 million capital project will include music wing renovations at OFA/OAMS, math wing classroom renovations at OFA, continued HVAC upgrades at OFA & the Transportation Facility, Community Pool upgrades, and site work at OFA/OAMS/Transportation Facility, and other building maintenance items.
