Good Afternoon OES Families,
Today, Monday, November 8th, at around 9:30am, the building’s fire alarm was activated and all students and staff evacuated the building. The Owego Fire Department and Owego Police Department along with district maintenance personnel, responded to the building to investigate and locate the source. At around 9:45am students and staff walked to Owego Free Academy to sit with their class inside the OFA gymnasium until it was deemed safe for everyone to return to OES. The Owego Fire Department and OA maintenance staff were able to determine that a small light transformer burned out, which in turn triggered the fire alarm. The transformer was removed from the building and the Owego Fire Department gave the all-clear for students and staff to return to OES at around 10:25am. We would like to thank all of our students and staff for how they handled the situation.

Congratulations to the Girls volleyball Section 4 Champions!!! This is the 11th Consecutive Section 4 Title.
