2026-2027 School Budget Vote and Board of Education Election Results

Voters in the Owego Apalachin Central School District on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, voted to approve the district’s proposed 2026-2027 school budget of $63,567,555. The budget had a tax levy increase of 17.10 percent.
The final vote was:
Yes: 636
No: 245
In the second proposition, voters approved the purchase of 5 school buses by the following count:
Yes: 638
No: 241
The three Board of Education Candidates elected for the three seats were:
Jessica Silvanic, Michael Aubel, and Joseph Palladino
Votes Per Candidate
Jessica Silvanic: 676
Michael Aubel: 669
Joseph Palladino: 668
(26 additional people received votes - contact the district clerk for additional information.)
Voters approved the additional taxpayer funding for the Apalachin Public Library.

Voting locations are based on residency.
Either the District Office in Owego or Apalachin Elementary School in Apalachin.
What to bring: If you are already registered, you're good to go! If you are not registered, please remember to bring a photo ID with you to the polls.
