Dear OA Parents/Guardians,
Starting in the 2022-2023 School year, the district has moved to a new Student Management System called SchoolTool. We will no longer be using eSchoolPLUS for student information. We are excited about this change as SchoolTool has several advanced features and reporting tools.
Like eSchoolPLUS, SchoolTool has a Parent Portal where parents/guardians can log in and view their students’ education information including: schedules, attendance, demographic Information, grades, assignments, contacts, etc.
Parent Portal Accounts for parents with students in 6th-12th grade will be created Wednesday, August 31st. If you are the parent of a student in 6th-12th grade, with an email address in our system, you will receive an email from ‘no-reply@scric.org’ with your Parent Portal account password. Your username will be your email address. All of the information you need will be contained in the email.
If you do not receive this email, it could be that we do not have an updated email address for you, or your parent account was not flagged for Parent Portal Access. If you would like to sign up for a SchoolTool Parent Portal Account, please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/caJSfVR5MgANnFz4A. An account will be created for you based on the guardian information we have listed in our system. Please give us 1-3 business days to get your account set up.
**Please note that student schedules will be active as soon as the OA Guidance Office has them finalized. This will likely be Monday or Tuesday of next week.
Accounts for Elementary Parents will be created after the start of the school year! We will send out another communication before creating those accounts. Stay tuned!
More information regarding the SchoolTool Parent Portal can be found on the Parent Resources Page of our website, here: https://www.oacsd.org/page/parent-resources
For questions regarding Parent Portal accounts, please submit a Let’s Talk! Dialogue using the category ‘SchoolTool Parent Portal’ here: https://www.oacsd.org/page/lets-talk

OA Update: Please read the following letter from Superintendent Green highlighting administrative changes for the 2022-2023 school year. Click here for his letter: https://5il.co/1g48n #OACommunity #OAPride #OATradition

In order for our Transportation Department to prepare for the 2022-2023 school year, we are asking all parents to fill out the following survey to indicate whether or not their child will OR will not need Transportation to begin the new school year. This process helps us to more accurately plan bus routes. Typically, busses are routed under the assumption that all students will ride. On many routes, this ends up not being the case, and the bus times become inconsistent for those who are riding. Collecting this information ahead of time, and routing students based on actual rider counts will help to keep bus pick-up and drop-off times more accurate as well as more consistent. We are asking all parents to please complete and submit the questions below.
There is an option to select that you DO NOT need transportation, and that information is just as valuable in developing routes as those who will need transportation. **Filling out this information does NOT lock you into your decision for the entire school year. We fully understand that circumstances can and will change throughout the school year. Please make a selection based on your needs for the START of the 2022-2023 School Year.
If at any point, your transportation needs change, please contact the Transportation Office (687-7305) and we will be happy to work with you on the changes needed for your student. You do not need to 'Hold' a spot for your student in the event they may need transportation at some point in the year. Please indicate in this form what their REGULAR needs will be.
***If your transportation needs do not fall into the categories listed in this form, please contact us at the Transportation Office so that we can assist your needs. Thank you in advance for taking the time to submit your request
It is requested that the schedule you choose for your student is maintained for a minimum of a Monday – Friday weekly schedule. Changes can be made for emergencies only.
This is for initial planning purposes only - if this changes at any time, simply call the Transportation office and request a change.
Complete the survey by clicking here: https://forms.gle/FsjhuV6pSgc6LbRT6
