This past July Mr. Westcott had the opportunity to present to this year's 60 New York State Department of Labor Teacher Ambassadors on the role of our career center in our district. There were many engaging conversations and questions in how to star career initiatives in their schools across the state. We LOVE this!!

Our summer building trades students are busy with some awesome hands-on projects! While contractors tackle the big areas, our students are gaining real-world experience by building a new shed, performing demo work, and installing drywall at the Liberty Street house. #OARiverHawks

Checking in on the work happening inside Reppert Gymnasium at OFA. Original basketball hoops have all been removed, the ceiling and walls have been painted, and the floor is coming out section by section. It's been a busy few weeks with a lot more to come! Congratulations to Hanna Whetsell from Apalachin Elementary School. Hanna was one of the area students who won the "I Voted" Sticker Contest held by the Tioga County Board of Elections. Hanna and the other winners were all presented with an award by both commissioners of the Board of Elections and the Tioga County Legislative Chair, Martha Sauerbrey. The winning stickers are being printed to be handed out to voters at the General Election in November. In partnership with UHS Sports Medicine, Owego Apalachin Central School District is offering optional sports physicals on Wednesday, August 13th, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. These physicals are free of charge and will be valid for one year from the date of the physical.
