Congratulations to our Owego Free Academy student-athletes, Evan O’Hara, Riley Loomis, and Madison McEvoy, who were named to the 2023-24 winter high school sports Elite All-Star teams. Selections were made for boys basketball, girls basketball, boys wrestling, boys and girls indoor track & field, boys swimming & diving, and boys and girls bowling. More than 80 athletes earned Elite accolades from the coverage areas of the Binghamton Press & Sun Bulletin, Elmira Star-Gazette, Corning Leader, and Ithaca Journal. Elite selections were chosen predominantly based on voting from coaches, with some input from the sports departments of the papers. Owego Free Academy is proud to announce the Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the Class of 2024. Ruben Lemmon has earned the distinction of Valedictorian. Ruben will be attending Cornell University to study Physics. Kathryn Donnelly-Taylor is the Salutatorian. Kathryn will be attending Cornell University - College of Agriculture and Life Science to study Animal Science. The district is very proud of Ruben and Kathryn’s commitment to excellence in their academic and extracurricular activities. We wish them all the best as they look to continue their education. Congratulations!
