Voters in the Owego Apalachin Central School District on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, voted to approve the district’s proposed 2025-2026 school budget of $59,769,964. The budget had a tax levy increase of 1.99 percent.
The final vote was:

No: 297
In the second proposition, voters approved the purchase of 5 school buses by the following count:

The two Board of Education Candidates elected for the two seats were:

🚧 Pool Parking Lot Closure Notice 🚧
Dear Owego Apalachin School Community,
Please be advised that beginning Tuesday, May 20th, the parking lot adjacent to the pool will be closed to all public traffic and parking until further notice.
This closure is necessary to accommodate a staging area for the upcoming music wing and pool construction project. We understand this may cause some inconvenience, and appreciate your patience and understanding.
As a reminder, the Owego Apalachin Central School District community pool will be shut down starting May 23rd until further notice as part of this capital improvement project. We anticipate the pool will be ready for Fall sports in August.

Kaelyn Katchuk has earned the distinction of Valedictorian.
Kaelyn will be attending Boston University for Human Physiology and will be on the Diving Team..

Bella will be attending Marymount University for Nursing (Nurse Anesthetist), and to play Flag Football.

The Owego Apalachin CSD Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, only in the event that both parties negotiating the OATA contract have not settled contract negotiations. If you missed the OES Green Team textile drop-off day, you are in luck!
Extended drop off days: May 5th - 9th and May 12th - 16th
Time: 8:30 am - 3:00 pm (bags can also be sent in with an OES student)
Where: Owego Elementary School (OES) - bags will need to be walked into the building. Just let the office know what the bags are for:)
What: We are collecting: used clothes, towels, hats, bedding, outerwear, cloth bags, belts, and shoes (rubber band them and bag separately if possible). These items are items you wouldn’t take to the mission. They can be any shape, size, or condition (they can even have holes:) they just can’t be moldy or wet!! Please bring items in bags if possible:)
Why: We want to RECYCLE instead of filling the landfill and save you MONEY!!!

NOTICE TO THE OA SCHOOL COMMUNITY
