Congratulations to Riley Loomis and Madison McEvoy who were selected by the Southern Tier Board 49 Officials to represent Owego Free Academy in the 2024 Stars and Stripes Classic.
91 players from 20 schools will fill out rosters for eight teams with each playing in a four-team tournament starting Tuesday, March 19th. Riley Loomis and team will play at 6:00 pm on Tuesday with the boy’s championship and consolation games on Thursday, March 21st. Madison McEvoy and team will play at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, March 20th with the girl's championship and consolation games on Friday, March 22nd.
All games are at Union-Endicott High School. There is a $3 cash admission at the door. All school-aged kids are free.
The tournament is sponsored by Southern Tier Board 49 Basketball Officials to highlight some of the top talent in the area. More than 50 NCAA coaches have been invited to attend.
