Thursday, January 25th will now be a Regents-Only day for OFA students. OFA students not scheduled to take an exam, will NOT attend school. All OFA students will return to a regular day of school on Friday, January 26th. All other buildings will operate on a regular schedule.
January 22, 2024
Dear Parent/Guardian and OFA Student:
As we watch the weather overnight and into tomorrow, we want to be prepared for the possibility of a School Delay or Closing on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, and how it would impact the OFA Regents' testing schedule.
In the event of a 2-hour Delay on Tuesday, January 23rd, the schedule will remain a Regents ONLY day. The English Language Arts Regents Exam will be moved to Wednesday, 1/24, at 9:00 am. The remainder of the exams on Tuesday would stay on the same schedule. Students coming in to take the Living Environment Exam on Tuesday afternoon can ride the morning bus to school, and their regular bus home.
In the event of a Snow Day on Tuesday, January 23rd, the English Language Arts Regents Exam will be moved to Wednesday, 1/24 at 9:00 am. The Living Environment Exam will be moved to Wednesday, 1/24 at 12:30 pm.
If there is a 2-hour delay OR a Snow Day on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, the Regents ONLY days would be Wednesday, January 24th AND Thursday, January 25th. The addition of Thursday, January 25th as a Regents ONLY day would mean any students not scheduled to take an exam or have not been asked to come in for review and/or to make up work, will NOT attend school. All students would return to a regular day of school on Friday, January 26th.
These are only possible scenarios in the event of inclement weather that impacts the school day schedule.
